The ITC Walking program is a free, fun and pleasurable walking activity designed to promote an active lifestyle while enjoying West Bloomfield's parks.

Walks are scheduled from May to July at various locations throughout West Bloomfield and range from 1.5 to 3.5 miles in length.  All walks are open to the public and free of charge.  Tuesday walks begin at 7:00 pm and Saturday walks begin at 8:30 am. Drawings for door prizes will be held after every walk.  Your name will also be placed in the grand drawing (one entry for each walk attended). The grand prize is an exquisite four-day/three-night stay for two at the historic Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel as part of the famous Labor Day weekend bridge walk. The grand drawing will take place following the July 31st walk.  Participants need not be present to win.  Walks will be held rain or shine unless there is severe weather.

National Trails Day Walk
June 1st is National Trails Day and what better way to celebrate than to hit the West Bloomfield Trail!  Meet at Walnut Creek Middle School for a walk along our scenic and historic rail-to-trail network ending at Sylvan Manor Park. West Bloomfield’s Naturalist will be on hand to engage in discussions about the wildlife along the trail.

The Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society will open the Orchard Lake Museum located along the trail for you to visit and enjoy refreshments. This walk is approximately 7 miles and buses will transport you back to the starting point. There will be return points throughout the Trail if you don’t wish to walk the full distance. Refreshments and a limited number of free t-shirts will be given out. Registration will begin at 8 am and the walk starts at 8:30 am. To ensure you receive a free t-shirt, click the link below to pre-register by May 22nd. You much be checked in by 8:30 am to receive your t-shirt. After 8:30, extra t-shirts will be handed out to non-registered participants.

There will be a special dedication this year at 9:30 am for a new kiosk we will be installing at 4655 Arrowhead Rd.
