After the Newtown school shooting in 2012, Liza wondered if her son, who has bipolar disorder, was capable of committing a similar act in her blog post "I Am Adam Lanza's Mother." Her book, The Price of Silence: A Mom's Perspective on Mental Illness, looks at how we address mental illness, especially in children.
