4640 Walnut Lake Rd
West Bloomfield Township, MI 48323
Join GWBHS and WB Parks for a trip to Northville to The Lace Museum and historic Mill Race Village. The Lace Museum features a visual feast of treasures – from a 19th-century Edwardian wedding gown made of Belgian lace to an orange Victorian walking dress. The curator, Mary Salmon, opened the museum to honor the unsung makers behind the intricate handcraft. The 1,000 square foot space curates collars, tablecloths and assorted American and European lace. An additional stop includes a docent-led walking tour of the historic Mill Race Village, not all buildings are handicapped accessible. Lunch is on your own at Tirami Su. See the WB Parks Winter 2019 Activities Guide for details and registration.
