The History of Sherwood Forest

In 2017, Detroit’s Sherwood Forest neighborhood celebrated its 100th anniversary. Gail Rodwan interviewed residents and searched through decades of news clippings and Sherwood Forest Association records to write The Story of Sherwood Forest: One Hundred Years a Neighborhood. Learn more about the original residents, auto executives who had fine homes built for their families, and the families that migrated to Southfield, Huntington Woods and then to West Bloomfield in the 1960s and ’70s.
