MASA Director Says Schools Remained Focus on Smaller Classes, but that Budget is a Major Factor

Dr. Tina Kerr, Executive Director Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators, says that small class sizes are a key goal of Michigan’s school districts, but that factors such as the State’s per-pupil budget cuts are creating situations that require resources to be allocated strategically, and that achieving the goal of smaller class sizes may not be something that results from these strategic decisions.
