Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine student, Majd T. Faraj, led the charge in organizing a fundraiser to provide medical supplies to a hospital system in Beirut, Lebanon that has been a primary source of care for COVID-19 patients in his home country. When the explosion that occurred in early August in Beirut happened, the fundraising became even more important, as the supplies became critical not only to the relief efforts against COVID-19, but to the relief efforts in the wake of the tragic accident in early August.
