MHSAA Official Says Travel Sports Played Over Summer but MHSAA Fall Sports Limitations “Criminal”

John Johnson, Director of Broadcast Properties at the Michigan High School Athletics Association, says that the Governor’s allowance of travel leagues such as 7-on-7 football and baseball without the same restrictions as MHSAA-sanctioned fall sports made no sense and should not have been allowed, and that the MHSAA is more capable of putting protocols in place and enforcing them than these entrepreneurial leagues.
