Amanda Harrison, Community Engagement Manager for Oakland County at the Detroit Institute of Arts (D.I.A.) said that the museum was closed in response to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in the state, and that the time closed was used to bolster safety protocols already in place and assure safety for visitors to the D.I.A.
