Dogs, Basketball, and a Major West Bloomfield Parks Proposal | “The Splash LIVE” – February 5, 2024

Adopting dogs at the Orchard Mall, West Bloomfield girls basketball builds bonds on and off the court, and West Bloomfield Parks prepares to discuss a massive proposal to expand recreation in our community on today’s episode of “The Splash Live!”

Civic Center TV General Manager Dave Scott catches up with Detroit Dog Rescue at the Orchard Mall for a special dog adoption event and fundraiser, learning more about why local families are adopting pets, as well as special programs such as fostering and other services offered by “DDR.”

Additionally, the West Bloomfield High School girls varsity basketball team has established itself as one of the strongest forces in the entire state. Off the court, their excellence in basketball has fostered unbreakable bonds. Splash host Tyler Kieft examines how the team’s chemistry has translated to consistent success on the hardwood.

Also, West Bloomfield Middle School Assistant Principal Cindy Carson previews the school district’s middle school preview night, and provides tips for students and parents on making the big transition from 5th grade into West Bloomfield Middle School.

Plus, West Bloomfield Township Supervisor Steve Kaplan calls in to talk about a special discussion happening tonight between the Township Board and the Parks and Recreation Commission regarding the potential for renovating the Recreation Activities Center into a 30,000+ square foot facility, housing all different kinds of athletics, recreational and social activities!
