Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, in a press conference on Thursday, May 21, announced more restrictions that will be lifted by the end of May, including an immediate lifting on bans of small gatherings of 10 or fewer people.
Among the restrictions that were lifted:
– Small gatherings of 10 people or fewer are permitted, effective immediately.
– Retail Businesses may reopen with up to 10 customers at a time, auto dealerships may open by appointment (May 26).
– Non-essential medical procedures, dental and veterinary procedures (May 29).
Additionally, Governor Whitmer took questions from the press and discussed the ongoing flood disaster, as well as her communications with the White House to address the major floods
