Grand Rapids Mayor Rosalyn Bliss says that the City’s finances have taken a hit due to pandemic precautions such as at-home work, reducing taxable income within city limits, a large fiscal portion of the City’s dollars. Mayor Bliss says federal and state stimulus aid has helped make those losses more manageable as cities such as Grand Rapids work to prevent cutting programs and services as much as is possible.
