Jocelyn Benson Encourages Legislation to Allow Ballots Postmarked Before Election Day to Count

Michigan Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson, says that more legislation is needed at the State and Federal level to prevent the disenfranchisement of voters who choose to vote by mail and have their ballots arrive after the polls close on election day (despite being submitted before the deadlines set in place) and to support local clerks in their efforts to count ballots efficiently as well.
