League of Women Voters Official Discusses Law Changes to Make Absentee Ballot Count Prep Efficient

League of Women Voters Oakland Area Vice President of Community Engagement and Marketing, Geri Rinschler, said that efforts of advocacy groups such as the League played a role in the decision to allow clerks to begin the process of processing (but not counting) absentee ballots on the day prior to the election, making for a more efficient counting process on election day and reducing delays in results.
