Michigan Department of Corrections Spokesman, Chris Gautz, says that the pandemic has not encouraged frivolous release of prisoners in at-risk populations, and continues to follow the letter of the law in only qualifying prisoners for parole after minimum sentences, but has provided shorter wait times to go through the parole process again in the same year, should they be rejected previously.
