Michigan Public Service Commissioner Says Pandemic Has Brought Technology Gap Issue to the Forefront

Tremeaine Phillips from the Michigan Public Service Commission says that the issue of access to broadband and other critical modern technology was likely to not be intensely discussed for several more years prior to the pandemic, but that the crisis and resulting circumstances such as widespread distance learning have forced the technology gap to the forefront of discussions and opened a dialogue to potential solutions sooner rather than later.
