Michigan Senator Talks about Legislation to Help Local Clerks with Absentee Vote Counting

Michigan State Senator from the 12th District, Rosemary Bayer, says discussions have been had in Lansing about supporting clerks by way of allowing some organization of absentee votes (but no counting) before election day, even from colleagues across the aisle such as Sen. Ruth Johnson (R-14th District & Former MI Secretary of State), but that these efforts have ultimately been shot down and gained no traction.
