Michigan State Senator Says School Budgeting Will be Handled Differently This Year

State Senator Wayne Schmidt, Michigan’s 37th Senatorial District- Chair of the K12 Appropriations Subcommittee, says school funding and budgeting requirements and benchmarks such as a required 75% attendance on count day may be modified or eliminated as State leadership works to put together the 2020-2021 fiscal year budget, which will have a critical impact on the future of Michigan’s school districts.
