Oakland County Doctor Says He Will Encourage Getting Vaccine if Data Shows That it is Safe

Dr. Jamie Taweel, Internal Medicine Specialist at Grand River Medical Associates, explained that information on the vaccine is currently only being reported by the vaccine manufacturers and cannot be determined by individual primary care doctors to be safe until they review the data, but will encourage his patients to be vaccinated if the data shows that a vaccine is viable and safe. Dr. Taweel also stated that, with the most viable options both appearing to be two-session immunizations, that safety measures will still need to be taken by vaccinated people for some time even after receiving their shots.
