Oakland County Water Resources Commissioner, Jim Nash, says illegal dumping is less of a concern than runoff pollutants such as pesticides and fertilizers, and that green solutions are being discussed at the county and local level to combat this issue, and his office encourages residents to learn about efforts such as rain barrels to help limit the water being drained back into the system that can be put to use in other areas of their property.
