Oakland Political Science Professor Calls Whitmer Payout to Former MDHHS Director “Problematic”

Oakland University Professor of Political Science and Director of its Center for Civic Engagement, Dave Dulio, says that the lack of context or explanation provided by the Governor in regards to the resignation of former Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Director (MDHHS), Robert Gordon, provides leeway for interpretation that there was something to cover up or that needed to be kept away from public knowledge, and that, from the outside looking in, that secrecy is a problem for a public figure who campaigned with an emphasis on government transparency.
