Southeastern Michigan United Way CEO Says Most 2-1-1 Calls During Pandemic Were for Help with Food

Darienne Hudson, President and CEO for United Way of Southeastern Michigan, says that families’ need for food far outweighed help needed finding and receiving COVID-19 testing, even at the height of the pandemic, as many people struggled to be able to put food on the table due to financial hardships such as job losses and layoffs.
