U.S. Senator Gary Peters says that he believes there is a way for the federal government to distribute vaccine to states most in need of doses without putting the safety or integrity of the vaccination process in other states at risk, noting that some states have more vaccine than is needed at this moment in time, while states such as Michigan are asking for more in order to help curb an ongoing surge in cases.
Senator Peters noted that people should remain vigilant and take all precautions necessary once they have received their doses of vaccine, as the full effect of vaccination is not immediate.
