Wear Orange to Stop Gun Violence, Chaldean Ladies of America, & More! | Full Megacast May 31, 2022

With atrocities being committed with the aid of a firearm left and right, Michiganders may be left feeling fearful or in the process of handling tough emotions and thoughts. Sometimes, its the small efforts we make that leave the biggest impact, and wearing orange, representative of what hunters wear while hunting to keep others from crossing fire, really shows how much we respect those who’ve fallen and those marching for our future. Volunteer Ann Anderson wears orange this upcoming weekend, and invites you to do the same.

Michiganders LOVE art based around wildflowers, lakeside views, and nature filled vistas. Aubrey Hogan, Wisconsin based Wood Restoration Artist has his finger on Michigan’s artistic pulse, and is excited to showcase is art at the Ann Arbor Art Show!

The Chaldean people make up a large chunk of Michigan’s population. The majority of Chaldeans migrated to the Metropolitan Detroit area in the early 1910s and 1920s in search of more expansive freedom. And with the number of participants in the community, The Chaldean American Ladies of Charity have been making strides towards personal self sufficiency among its members. Social Worker with United Community Family Services Raghad “RJ” Gabarra talks about how strong the bonds in this community are, and what has driven them to be a proud, half century old, organization.
