Henry Ford Health Infectious Disease Expert Says Get COVID Vaccine Even if Previously Infected

Dr. Anne Chen, M.D., Chief of Medicine at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital and Program Director of the Infectious Disease Fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit, says that it is best to get vaccinated even if previously infected due to the risk of potential second infection from COVID-19 or one of the variants, and that people with recent COVID-19 infections should wait 90 days until after they have defeated the virus before getting the first vaccination.
